    VivaTrap! Cucumber Beetle Trap & Lure 20 Pack

    Traps spotted and striped cucumber beetles!

    Great for cucumber, cantaloupe, winter and summer squash, pumpkin, gourd, watermelon and many other species of cucurbits.

    Cucumber Beetles are a major problem wherever cucumber, watermelon, pumpkin, cantaloupe, squash and other cucurbits are grown.  Beetles can kill or severely stunt seedlings and on older plants damage stems and fruits.  The beetle is well known for transmitting bacterial wilt, and some viruses.  Gummy stem blight is also associated with beetle damage.  Larvae feed on roots, reducing yield. 
     
    Traps contains a strong adhesive to hold beetles that are attracted to the multi-pheromone lure.  Place in garden when seedlings start to emerge or beetles appear and start feeding on flowers and foliage.
     
    The lure will attract various types of male cucumber beetles:
    • Striped cucumber (Acalymma vittatum)
    • Western striped (Acalymma trivittatum)
    • Spotted cucumber (Diabrotica undecimpunctata howardi) 
    • Western spotted cucumber (Diabrotica undecimpunctata undecimpunctata)
    Instructions: Place lure on or very near to yellow sticky trap.  Use one trap with lure per 2,000 sq. ft. for monitoring or one trap with lure per 400 sq. ft. for mass trapping.  Replace when filled with beetles or dirty.  Deploy traps in early April through August for best results. Lure lasts for 3-4 weeks depending on temperature.

      These are the same exact cucumber beetle traps that are in many garden stores and on Amazon from Vivagrow and Agbio. They have just modernized the packaging. No physical differences and most importantly they perform very well. We are using these to cover more than 5 planted acres over a lengthy growing season.

      This is a bulk pack of the AgBio or Vivatrap cucumber beetle traps. They come exactly like the regular 2 packs, you get 10 of those for 20 traps total. Perfect! We have the striped Western beetles on our property.
